14 DAY TRIAL // One of the most popular photo apps for Android that allows users to edit their pictures, Snapseed has just received a major update that brings new features and improvements into the mix.
The latest version of the application promises to provide users with more options while editing photos. Some of these options are only available on desktop apps, but with Snapseed users will be able to take advantage of new features like retouch, adjust perspective, re-edit, and many more.
Developed by Google, Snapseed 2.0 adds a few new features, which have already been explained by developers. First of all, the update brings a set of new tools meant to offer professional photo editing options.
Lens Blur, Tonal Contrast, intelligent perspective Transform, and Spot Healing are among the most important new features included in the last version of Snapseed.
Small improvements and bug fixes have been included in the update, too
Snapseed 2.0 also allows users to selectively apply filters and effects to parts of the image using the Brush tool. These new options haven't been available until now.
Last but not least, Google has implemented non-destructive editing via Stacks, which allows users to re-edit or undo any change. Additionally, Snapseed users will also be able to copy edits from one image to another.
Keep in mind that Snapseed works with phone camera shots, as well as images from DSLRs, compact cameras, and more.
If you don't have the application installed yet, you can now download Snapseed for Android 2.0 for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
It's also worth mentioning that Snapseed works on both smartphones and tablets, and it supports JPEG photos. Snapseed has already been localized in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), and Arabic.
