As part of the collaboration between Google and the Mozilla community, the online giant has released an extremely useful extension for the Firefox browser.

If you only use one computer, Google Browser Sync will not be very useful, but for the users working on several computers and operating systems who need to synchronize their browsing date, the new extension is ambrosia.

According to a Google description, the extension unifies your bookmarks, history, saved passwords, and persistent cookies across all the computers where you install it. It also remembers which tabs and windows you had open when you last closed any of your browsers and gives you a chance to reopen them.

"We think you'll enjoy how it handles sync conflicts and 'just works,' enabling you to bring your browser with you everywhere," Brian Rakowski, Product Manager at Google said.

In other Firefox, Google news, the engineers in Mountain View have improved version 2 of the Google Toolbar for Firefox.

?We've fixed a bunch of bugs and made it more stable, so we're stripping off the 'beta' tag. We'll be updating all Toolbar users to this new version in the next couple of weeks," Rakowski added.

Google Browser Sync for Firefox has been certified by Softpedia as being 100% FREE and is available for download here.
