The rumors concerning a potential Google operating system for the mobile devices are again enhanced by the Mountain View company that makes a new silent move for the mobile technologies. InsideGoogle reports the super giant Google quietly improved Reader, its web-based feed reader which enables consumers to read news and articles using a single instance of their browsers.

In fact, Google updated the mobile flavor of Reader by adding a settings option to give the users the possibility to choose how many entries to be displayed on the screen. In the recent period, the Mountain View company made more and more moves in the mobile market but its official refused to comment on or to deny the rumors about a potential operating system or even a Gphone.

"Google has improved slightly the mobile phone version of Google Reader, adding a new settings page linked from the bottom of every screen. The settings let you increase the number of items displayed per screen from 10 to 20, or lower it to 5. Another setting tells Reader whether or not you want it to reformat web pages for better reading on mobile devices (the default is yes, turn it off if you have a browser that does that for you)," InsideGoogle wrote today.

Google Reader tends to become one of the most updated technologies at the Googleplex as the Mountain View company seems to be more and more focused on its features. For example, Google also implemented a search technology in Reader, a function which was required by a considerable number of consumers.

Actually, Google Reader is updated very often but the parent company doesn't talk about all the improvements and lets the consumers discover them. It seems like this is somehow a new policy at the Googleplex as several search giant's products come with hidden abilities to be discovered by the fans. Look at Google Earth which included Flight Simulator, a feature that was discovered by the users of the program.
