In China

It was bound to happen sooner or later, so many of you won't be surprised by the fact that Microsoft intends to sue Google.

This time the quarrel is about China and to be more precise, about a person from China. Google, which has recently entered the Chinese market, has decided to hire Kai-Fu Lee as director of its R&D department.

Google announced this decision through a press release, which talked about the opening of the new center. The only problem is that Lee was vice-president of Microsoft China China.

Hence, it didn't take much for Microsoft to react to this and in less than an hour since Google issued the press release, the company representatives decided to sue Google, charging Kai-Fu Lee with violating the contract provisions regarding the non-disclosure agreement and the competition.

Before working at Microsoft, Kai-Fu Lee was employed by Apple and Silicon Graphics and Google's decision to announce his hiring is a little bit surprising since the company has rarely made such announcements.

For Microsoft this is not the first company sued over hiring one of their ex employees, especially since the contract has a non-compete clause.
