This time it targets the educational systems

The Mountain View company plans to improve its offering in Russia by producing several educational tools for the local market. It seems like Google will try to focus on the solutions able to help the students, the schools or the teachers such as mail technologies, security products or other types of solutions. As RussiaToday reports, the Mountain View-based company will launch a special program in Russia that will bring all these utilities which will probably increase the educational system only in a small percentage. Why am I saying that? Because the Russian government also has the duty to improve the infrastructure and to provide equipment for the IT development in schools.

"We're investing our knowledge and technology into the development of education. This is a really huge investment that cannot be measured purely in terms of money," said Vladimir Dolgov, the head of Google Russia, according to RussiaToday.

Probably Google aims to offer the Russian school system access to its educational version of Google Apps, a suite of tools including Gmail, Docs & Spreadsheets, Calendar and several other tools powered by the Mountain View giant. However, it would be extremely difficult to improve the Russian education in a short period of time since there are numerous investments to be made in the country and especially in this area.

But Google always tries to make investments, to build offices or to release new flavors of its technologies in those places of the world where they are really needed. Russia is just one of them but, besides the educational purposes mentioned by the Mountain View company, it will also support the Google attempt to expand its products. At this time, the search giant tries to bring its technologies in every corner of the world and, every once in a while, it builds new offices, releases new products or comes with special features especially addressed to a certain region.
