Docs & Spreadsheets is more accessible

As you might know, rumors regarding a Google office solution are spreading on the Internet as the company continues to improve its existing solutions or create new tools that concern the Office suite. Google Docs & Spreadsheets is an innovative product designed by the search giant that helps you create, edit or share documents and sheets using a simple web based interface. The service is currently available for free using only a Google account and contains many useful functions such as autosaving or spell checking.

A long time ago, some Google bloggers sustained in several blog posts that Google is preparing its own operating system to challenge Microsoft and attract even more users to the company. At that time, the search giant's representatives denied the rumors but refused to comment on the idea that its employees are preparing an Office solution.

Recently, Ionut Alex, a Google blogger, posted a message on his blog to publish a document discovered in the Docs & Spreadsheets service and containing interesting information about a potential presentation tool prepared by Google entitled Presently. Since then, Google didn't post any official announcement, but it seems like the search giant is really working on an office solution.

Yesterday, Amit Agarwal from Digital Inspiration published an article sustaining Google Docs & Spreadsheets will be soon integrated into Google Apps with several changes for the users of the service. Today, the company announced a new improvement added to the product, making it available in 12 new languages.

"I'm happy to announce that we've just launched Docs & Spreadsheets in 12 new languages. The languages we've added are: French, Italian, German, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and - you guessed it - Polish. If your favorite language isn't listed here, we've got an additional 18 languages in our spell-checker. You can select your language by clicking "Settings" inside Docs & Spreadsheets. And if you haven't checked out the Google Toolbar Beta 3 for Firefox with integrated support for Docs & Spreadsheets, you can now download it in all of the same languages," Ken Norton, Google employee, sustained in a blog post.
