Several errors for the Docs & Spreadsheets

Google Docs & Spreadsheets was affected by a serious glitch which caused several errors displayed to the users who tried to access the service. According to Philipp Lenssen from Google Blogoscoped, Google Docs & Spreadsheets returned a 404 error for most of the consumers trying to access their documents or to create new ones. "The server encountered an error. Please try again later," the first message displayed to the members sustained. But that's not all. After a few minutes, the error message was changed as the Mountain View company probably worked on the technology.

"Sorry, but document editing is temporarily unavailable. While we are working to restore the service, you can still view your documents - just not edit them. If you check back in a few minutes, editing will likely be available again," the new message read according to the same source.

As I'm sure you know, Google Docs & Spreadsheets, which also includes Presentations, is the main technology included in Google's office suite meant to compete with Microsoft's software solution. Because the Redmond software giant recently rolled out Microsoft Office on the web, do you think it would be a smart move to replace Google Docs & Spreadsheets with Office Live Workspace?

However, it seems like the outage reported in Google Docs affected more technologies powered by the Mountain View super giant. Google Reader, the web-based feed reader, also returned a error to the users trying to read their articles: "Oops an error occurred. Please try again in a few seconds." Moreover, Google Notebook also suffered an outage as DaveB, a Google Blogoscoped reader, wrote in the comments of the article. "Unable to load user data. Please try again in a little while," this error sustained. In addition, some other Google technologies, such as iGoogle and Google Apps, were affected by the glitch. At this time, everything works quite fine.
