Although it was reported that Google was in talks with Verizon Wireless to bring its technologies on their handheld devices, it seems like the Mountain View company is also negotiating with Sprint Nextel Corp. with the same goal. PC World today reports that Google and Sprint refused to comment the speculations but the super search giant might cook some new mobile technologies very soon. Actually, Google released the mobile Picasa Web Albums today, allowing the users to access their accounts and the photos stored there from any mobile device.

"You shouldn't be surprised to see something coming along with Sprint and Google beyond WiMax," the PC World source said. "While discussions may be ongoing and moving along pretty quickly, it's early in the process on how these things might come to market."

Sure, Google has a lot of mobile technologies available at this time while new ones are currently in labs, getting ready for the release. But the rumors are again pointing to a mobile operating system powered by the Mountain View company which is supposed to bundle all the firm's technologies. First, it was rumored that Google created a Gphone, a mobile device equipped with Gmail, Calendar or Google Search but the officials quickly denied them, underlining that Google is a software company.

Then, the speculations evolved and talked about a potential operating system prepared by Google which would obviously come with most of the company's services. It was said that Google's OS would be actually a Linux distribution customized with Gmail, Google Calendar and other mobile technologies but again, no official statement from the Mountain View company.

Recently, some people said that the Gphone is ready to be released as Google sent no less than 50,000 devices to HTC for manufacturing, the company which was supposed to distribute the handhelds to developers in order to design applications.
