It's no secret that Google is working on bringing its Google Now search app to more platforms. It's being built into Chrome and, it seems, an iOS version is in the works as well.

The video ad for the iPhone and iPad version of Google Now was apparently leaked to YouTube and then pulled, but not fast enough for people not to notice.

Engadget has a copy of the video which looks legitimate, it shows Google Now as part of the iOS search app. If it is a fake, it's a pretty good one.

Considering that another similar video got leaked not so long ago, the Chromebook Pixel one, it may very well be that this one is legitimate as well.

Even if it isn't, there's no doubt in anyone's mind that Google is building a Now app for iOS. Google Now is the evolution of search, it's a major step towards the search engine Google has been touting, one that can provide you with answers before you even ask a question.

Google Now has proven quite popular on Android and, while Google would love to have exclusive features for Android, it can't afford to mess with its most important product, search.

Judging by the fact that there even is a promotional video, it's safe to say that Google is very close to releasing Now for iOS.

Obviously, Google won't be able to integrate Now as deeply as it can on Android, but it can still prove useful. Now is going to be part of the Search app, it will be available by swiping up from the bottom in the app, just like on Android.

Elsewhere, Google is building Now into Chrome, as mentioned, but also Google Glass. In fact, since Glass needs a phone for the internet connection, Google will need to be able to pair it with the iPhone. Having Now running on the phone is going to help with the integration.
