A few weeks ago, Mountain View-based Internet giant Google announced the release of a new service for the owners of devices running under its Android operating system, namely Music Beta by Google, and the company has just updated the application that would offer users access to the offering.

The new version of Google's Music application comes as a minor update over the previous releases of the software, but still brings a series of enhancements and fixes into the mix.

The new version of the application is already available for download via the Android Market, for all devices powered by Android 1.6 or newer.

The release notes for the new flavor of the application shows the following:

- Added ability to delete songs stored on the SD card - Bugfixes

Apparently, some of the fixes that Google packed with the new release were aimed at force closes that some users were hit by on certain Gingerbread-based devices.

With this mobile software, users would find it easy to access the Music Beta by Google service. Basically, this would be the official Android player that supports the service, Google notes.

This new flavor of the Music application for Android devices also comes with a redesigned UI, in addition to providing users with support for the new service from Google.

One thing that should be noted here is that Music Beta by Google is available only for users in the United States, and that it needs an invitation. For the time being, the service is offered for free, but it won't be so forever, Google notes.

“Music Beta is a new service from Google that gives you instant access to your personal music collection on the web and your compatible Android devices without the hassle of wires or syncing,” the application's description reads.

Those who would like to try out the app would find it in the Android Market here. To request an invitation to the service, users would have to go here.
