Chinese test started a few days ago

Google China started a new test that might represent a new flavor of the company's search engine. Because the search technology is in Chinese and no official statement describing the product was released, there isn't much information about the Google Life Search. As far as I can see - after I translated the page with Google Translate - the service allows users to search for housing, work - probably jobs, train - maybe transportation, items and food. According to Google Blogoscoped, the search technology was first discovered a month ago but it is now available to all the users.

As you can see, the Mountain View company wants even more from its search technologies and tries to make them more efficient and able to search for anything. Last week, Google introduced Universal Search, a technology that allows users to find any type of information and display it on a single SERP. Basically, Universal Search searches for all formats of information and displays all the results in the same search engine result page.

Also, most of the users are now able to use a brand new Google interface that has been tested for about two months. However, the search giant developed a lot of new features for its main search engine but some of them are still unavailable. For example, Searchmash, the Google testing platform, presented a considerable number of features meant to be implemented into the final product but only some of them were finally included.

However, it's obvious Google remains the best search engine on the Internet and this is caused by the impressive number of users searching for information with this technology. Take the example of AOL Search that is still using the old interface of Google Search with the same features as the Mountain View company's product. As you might know, AOL Search is provided by Google and implemented on the main page of the company.
