Today, a new update is officially rolled out, but the Mountain View representatives didn't talk about it. The feature seems to be a little buggy at this time because - as blogger Ionut Alex Chitu reports - a search query for 'Mountain View' returns numerous locations, except? Google. For example, you can search for safeway, caltrain station, shoreline amphitheatre, fry's, gunn high school, shoreline amphitheater, four seasons hotel, Microsoft, Stanford University, HP.
This new function comes after another feature implemented some time ago, codenamed Street View, that caused quite a buzz around the Mountain View company. As you might have heard, numerous users from the United States raised privacy concerns because the function showed a little bit too many details about them, such as private pictures from their houses. Google defended itself by saying that Street View shows nothing more than what it's discoverable from the street, so everybody's allowed to view exactly what Street View reveals.
Google Maps and Google Earth are two of the most innovative mapping solutions currently available on the Internet and it seems that they will remain so, unless the Mountain View company abandons them. However, there is no sign for this cruel plan because the search giant has just rolled out Google Earth Enterprise, a new flavor of the downloadable mapping tool that brings new and innovative features to the enterprise users. The product already attracted praises, as hardware giants (such as Dell) admitted that Google's product is very useful.
