If you love animals, wild animals at least, but don't have the time or the place to see them all that often, Google has your back. The company has just added a large number of zoos, from around the world, to Street View.

You can now fire up Google Maps and check out plenty of wild animals in less than wild locations.

If you're a fan of pandas, and who isn't, you can see a third of them in one place, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China, a crucial facility for the survival of this extremely endangered species.

If you're a hipster and regular pandas are too mainstream for you, the same center has plenty of cute firefoxes, aka red pandas, on display as well, so you can see for yourself if they are in fact foxes or, indeed, on fire. Spoiler alert, they're neither.

But it's not all about pandas, there is now imagery from many other zoos, the famous San Diego Zoo in the US, the Chapultepec Zoo in Mexico, as well as the Toronto Zoo and Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park in Ontario, Canada.

The Buin Zoo in Chile and Zoologico de Bauru in Brazil represent South America, while in Asia, you can now visit the Shou Shan Zoo in Taiwan, Asahiyama Zoo in Japan, the Singapore Zoo, and the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia.

"In Germany, you can marvel at the white lions and tigers bred at the Zoo Safari Park Stukenbrock, and visit Tierpark Hagenbeck, known as the first zoo to simulate natural habitats by using open enclosures surrounded by moats instead of cages," Google added.

There are many more zoos to discover in Street View and, luckily, Google has a comprehensive collection of them on its new Views site.
