65 percent of the Internet searches were conducted though Google, while 20.73 percent were made using the Yahoo search technology. According to market researcher Hitwise, Google managed to lure no more than 65.26 percent of the Internet searches made in April, a slight increase from 64.13 percent recorded in March. In comparison with the Mountain View company, Yahoo attracted 20.73 percent of the searches in April and 24.26 percent in March. Google is continuously growing up because the search giant obtained only 58.64 percent of the search in April 2006.

"Hitwise, the leading online competitive intelligence service, today announced that the Google accounted for 65.26 percent of all US searches in the four weeks ending April 28, 2007. Yahoo! Search, MSN Search and Ask.com each received 20.73, 8.46 and 3.69 percent respectively. The remaining 47 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 1.86 percent of U.S. searches," Hitwise reported today.

The most amazing evolution was recorded by the health and the medical domain that recoded no more than 44.58 percent of the searches with 29.44 percent sent by Google. On the second place of the top we can find the travel domain that attracted 31.34 percent of the search engines traffic and 20.06 percent from Google.

Now, I believe all of you agree that Google is the best search engine on the Internet and this statistics corroborate the statement. In the recent period, the search giant evolved a lot and was continuously looking to find new opened markets to expand its products and attract new segments of users. Take the example of the Google Office suite that is meant to compete with the old fashioned suite provided by Microsoft.
