As you know, the Asian market is the main target for the Internet giants but both Google and Yahoo encountered several problems in the Chinese expansion. Yahoo was the first company that started the conquest with new offices and products but it recorded an unexpected result that forced the giant portal to announce an internal reorganization. The search giant Google tried to open new offices in China but the most powerful portal in the country, Baidu, made the company work hardly on its Asian products.

Today, China Daily reported that Google made a partnership with China Network Communications Corporation, the second largest fixed-line operator in the country that will provide a quick access to Google's search engine for more than 16 million of clients of the company. The agreement will place a Google search box on the communication firm page and will allow users to search the Internet without leaving the website.

"The cooperation with Google is aimed at improving the company's competitiveness in integrating Internet services while offering broadband users the most advanced Internet applications," Zuo Feng, general manager of CNC China Netcom Broadband Corp., told CBN. "China Netcom Broadband Corp. is a subsidiary company of CNC which was established in May, 2006 to offer content and value-added applications for the broadband and wireless network," China Daily reported.

The publication also reported the leader of the Chinese communications, China Telecom, made a partnership with Microsoft to include their search engine on the official page of the company. Yesterday, several publications reported the search giant prepares a new office in Asia to increase their presence in the area. Google will open a new research center in Singapore that will help the company in its battle with the Internet leader Baidu.
