The innovative Google Calendar receives a new feature that allows you to organize your events better and with less actions. For example, if you want to track your favorite NBA team games, you can do it straight from the web-based Google Calendar by subscribing to a public schedule available in the newly released Gallery. Using this feature, the Mountain View company plans to enable users to share calendars and allow the registered members to implement the schedules created by other clients. As far as I can see, this looks like a new personalization option because you can configure your calendar depending on your preferences.

"Don't you think that calendars should be more than lists of appointments and meetings? Well, we think an online calendar should be filled with what interests you most, which is why we just unveiled the Google Calendar gallery. Those of you with Google accounts and your friends (who might not have one) can create, share and save your favorite upcoming events directly in Google Calendar. The new Google Calendar gallery makes it easy to fill your days with events that you care about and don't want to forget," Peter Colijn, Software Engineer, said today.

Speaking of Personalization Options, the search giant was quite active in this area because the company planned to allow users to customize their services depending on their needs. That is why you're now able to use iGoogle, a free service that helps you create your own Personalized Homepage, full of Google products such as Gmail, Gtalk and Calendar. As you probably know, it is 100 percent configurable as it allows you to add gadgets compatible with most of the company's products.

Moreover, you can even personalize your search engine and obtain only results according to your preferences and depending on your old queries.
