We all know that Google likes to celebrate in style every new event or special moment in our lives. This time, Halloween will receive Google's 'gratitude' and the Mountain View company can' wait anymore to roll out its special goodies for the real fans. Today, the super giant presented some new gadgets, especially designed to work on Google Desktop, being supposed to help the consumers who installed the application equip their computer with Halloween spooky utilities. Beside pumpkins and scary clocks, the Google Desktop users can find several countdowns to track the time left until their favorite holiday begins.

All these tiny tools are developed by the users and are published on the Google Desktop Gadgets page, along with many other tools. In order to access only the ones designed for Halloween or holidays in general, you have to go over to the page and click on the 'Holidays' link displayed in the category list in the left part of the site.

Please keep in mind that you have to install Google Desktop in order to be able to use the gadgets published on the page. Most gadgets require Google Desktop 4 or a newer version but if you want to be sure that all the utilities work on your computer, I recommend you to install the latest version of the program.

Google Desktop is the application powered by the Mountain View company which is supposed to bring the power of the famous search technology in offline mode and enable the consumers to search their computers in no time. Since it was first released, Google Desktop attracted an impressive number of users because they were all looking for a product which would be able to work faster and more efficiently than the old-fashioned Windows Search. However, Google Desktop is available on multiple platforms as both Linux and Mac consumers can also install and use it.
