Google Earth is surely the main subject of the day because the application is promoted by the parent company through several ways. For example, the search giant released today a special blog for the downloadable application and for Google Maps that will keep the interested customers up-to-date with the latest changes. Google Lat Long Blog is regarded as the search giant's "geo" blog that informs people about the latest modifications concerning the two products owned by the Mountain View company.

"The tools are becoming more powerful, more accessible, and more interrelated -- not only to each other, but also to the web at large and to things like search. Things are changing so fast we thought a blog focused on this topic would be the best way to communicate with you, both about our products and about the overall development of geo on the web," John Hanke, Director, Google Earth & Maps, sustained on Google Lat Long Blog.

Today, Google quietly released a new version of Google Earth that brings even more power than ever, being also able to enhance the application's results. Although the improved program was not officially confirmed, Google Earth version 4.1 beta has several updates starting with tips and tricks and ending with Google Maps interoperability. Recently, the Mountain View company introduced some new improvements for Maps, adding a lot of new high-resolution photos showing streets and buildings.

"Our goal is to help foster the ecosystem of geo development across the web. We will continue to look for ways to evolve our current products and to invent new ones that will make this possible," the Google employee added. Should we expect some new updates soon?
