Google was recently named the favorite brand in UK, the search giant winning the leader position in the detriment of Amazon and eBay. According to Broadband Finder, Google managed to record no more than $10.6 billion (approximately 5.3 billion pounds) in UK, making the research firm Millward Brown name the Mountain View company as the top brand. "The least popular brands such as McDonald's and Pot Noodle have a polarizing effect - hated by the nation's self-appointed food police, they can remain in good shape for as long as they keep a loyal core of customers," commented Craig Smith, editor of the publication according to the same source.

As you know, Google struggles to expand its services into the entire world, but UK wasn't one of the markets targeted by the search giant. However, Google recently released Checkout UK, the famous PayPal alternative that is currently attracting an impressive number of users. Meanwhile, the search giant also worked on its Chinese conquest that is almost every time rejected by the local companies or even by the market.

For example, Google's officials recently announced that no more than 300 fake agents are claming to be hired by the search giant to sell its products. Because the company's image was quite affected by these fake employees that earned money without offering any service, the Google representatives had to make a visit in China to fight against the phenomenon.

The older attempts were rejected by the local search giant, Baidu, that managed to attract an important number of users also targeted by the Mountain View company. However, Google wants to conquer the Chinese market because it looks like an unlimited IT resource than can bring a considerable profit to the company.
