With the release of Firefox 4 and Internet Explorer 9, no big shake-ups in the browser world is coming any time soon. What's more, since Firefox switched to a rapid release system like Chrome, Firefox 6 is already on its way, there won't be any big launches for a while.

Things are still evolving though and sometimes nice and easy is the way to do it. As far as Google is concerned, that strategy is paying off.

Google Chrome continues to gobble up new users, to the detriment of Internet Explorer and to a lesser degree Firefox.

The latest numbers from StatCounter show that Chrome is getting closer and closer to its two main rivals.

Of course, StatCounter has always been a bit more 'optimistic' than other companies tracking the market when it comes to Chrome's and Firefox's market share, as opposed to Internet Explorer.

Still, the latest numbers for may show that Chrome now accounts for one in five visits to a site that StatCounter measures, 19.35 percent of the visits to be more specific.

Firefox has another 10 percent over that, 29.3 percent of the visits, and Internet Explorer still reigns with 43.9 percent of the market.

Chrome is a great browser and has plenty of advantages and unique features to explain its growth, but Google is also putting its marketing muscle behind the web browser to promote it to users who don't really care what they use or even what a web browser is.

Google has been running a series of clips, on TV no less, advertising Chrome. The ads aim to show that the web is all about us humans and only displays the browser very little.

Now Google has debuted a new clip, very similar to the one it introduced a short while ago, dubbed "Dear Hollie" aimed at the British market.
