iGoogle is the beneficiary

Google has always been known for its simplistic, mostly white, theme and background that could become rather monotonous at one point in a frequent Google Apps users' life. Some new themes are on their way to meet our hungry eye candy needs. Although not many, they will certainly enlighten and refresh the daily routine that iGoogle could lay down for us.

The descriptions are from the Mountain View based company, as Ionut Alex Chitu pointed out. The comments, however, are not:

Solar System: For those of you who like to space out, this theme will help you do so. Enjoy a different scene from our solar system on your iGoogle homepage, each day of the week. (Yes, it actually changes every day as opposed to the others that change depending on the time of the day.)

Autumn: The leaves are falling and the air is crisp. It's fall, and the raccoons are enjoying every bit of it. Follow them through the day as they tackle the onslaught of leaves and prepare for a barbecue feast. (A dominantly blue/green theme that highlights the way technology should work for us: the older raccoon holds the leaf blower and plays with the matches.)

Hong Kong: It's the Hong Kong skyline in soft beautiful colors. Add this lively cosmopolitan city to your homepage and watch as the day goes by. (The colors are soft indeed. Too soft for my imagination that always pictured the city as an ongoing traffic nightmare.)

J.R.: Introducing J.R., the friendly giant monster who makes his home on your iGoogle homepage. Follow him throughout the day as he keeps himself busy going about his daily chores and hanging out with his friends. (J.R. looks rather familiar, he might be the long lost cousin or brother of an evildoer in an Powerpuff Girls episode.)

Aja Tiger: From the cave looking out, follow the Aja Tiger through the day and the seasons. This Korean theme is a fun and friendly one for your iGoogle homepage. (A mostly brown/green theme that's relaxing enough and disturbing enough because I see no light switches for the lights - alternative source of fuel? Makes one wonder about a world conspiracy perhaps?)
