According to a recent market research conducted in the UK, no less than 35 percent of the men sustained that Google becomes too commercial, while 23 percent of the women had the same opinion. The study was made by bigmouthmedia and included 1000 UK Internet users. Recently, the Mountain View company Google acquired DoubleClick, an advertising firm that can help the search giant expand its advertising platform and earn more money.

"Google now dominates in so many areas that some people perceive it as all-powerful or arrogant. In some ways, that's true - but Google still adheres to its "do no evil" mantra in my opinion. Microsoft went through virtually the same evolution, starting off as an innovative startup that radically changed computing. Over time, they came to be known as the evil empire by some," Chris Sherman of SearchEngineLand sustained according to E-consultancy.com.

Google is the most powerful company in the world and this was proved by a recent study that revealed some interesting facts concerning the search giant. The Mountain View firm managed to beat famous names such as Coca Cola, Toyota and Marlboro. However, some of the Internet users might consider that Google is continuously becoming more powerful and this is not necessarily a good thing. Google makes a lot of acquisitions, based on the "if you don't manage to beat it, buy it" motto. Using the recently acquired DoubleClick, Google plans to expand the advertising platforms and make them more competitive for its rivals.

The Mountain View company has an incredible financial power, being able to buy almost any company except for its rivals. Sometimes, this power makes its competitors envious just like in the DoubleClick case: numerous companies, including Microsoft, required the US regulators to analyze the acquisition because Google might violate the antitrust rules.
