The Mountain View company has just expanded the Custom Search offering that allows all kinds of users to implement the Google search technology on their websites. Following the last month's release of Custom Search Business Edition, Google invited companies and enterprise users to acquire the solution and add the search engine on their websites. The bad thing about it is that some companies demanded more powerful technologies that would be able to search a bigger number of pages. Today, Matt Wytock from Google announced the expansion of the service, allowing the interested consumers to buy a search technology able to search for up to 300.000 webpages for about $2.250 per year.

"In July, we launched Custom Search Business Edition, which those of you who are webmasters and product developers at companies can use to easily set up an ads-free search engine for your websites and completely customize the look and feel of search results through an XML API," said Matt Wytock.

"Earlier, the online checkout process allowed purchases for search of up to 50,000 web pages. A number of businesses asked us about site search for larger sites, so now we have expanded the capacity of Custom Search Business Edition. We've introduced two new plans that you can purchase online: search up to 100,000 web pages: $850 per year; search up to 300,000 web pages: $2,250 per year."

In addition, if you have a large website and you're looking for a powerful search technology able to search more than 300,000 pages, you can contact Google and get an offer for the Custom Search Engine.

The Google Custom Search Engine can also be used for free, allowing you to build your own technology and place it on your website. Basically, it is all about some configuration steps and a simple HTML code that must be included in your website's content.
