Never get disconnected from Google+, on any page on the web

Along with the new YouTube integration for Google+, Google is introducing two new (updated) Google Chrome extensions for Google+. The first is the +1 button for Google Chrome, which has been available for a while now, but which Google has just updated.

The second is the new Notifications extension for Chrome, which you can probably guess what it does, it pretty much identical to the notifications icon in the Google navbar, along with the extended functionality.

The two extensions should make it easier for Google Chrome users to always stay on top of Google+ updates and to be able to +1 any page in the world. These extensions are obviously aimed at Google+ power users.

The Google +1 extension is a rather interesting one, if you rely on the +1 button a lot. With the extension, you no longer have to rely on websites that implement the +1 button as a sharing option, or have to hunt for it in a crowded page.

You simply click on the +1 button in the Chrome toolbar. Another neat trick is that it displays how many +1's a page, any page, has.

This is especially interesting when the page has no dedicated +1 button, meaning people had to +1 it from the Google Search results or with the Chrome extension.

The +1 button Chrome extension can also serve as a way of sharing any page with your Google+ buddies with two click.

The second extension is Notifications. It displays the number of Google+ notifications waiting for you at any given moment, but it can also serve as a fast way to check what's new and who's looking for you on Google+ without leaving the page you're visiting.

You can check out who added you to Google+ and add them back, see your friends' latest posts and comment on them and so on. You can already do that on several Google products today, but the extension expands this to the entire web.
