AOL has it!

Some of the users are quite disappointed by the new Google Search interface and they are demanding the old one back. That's impossible; but instead, I can offer you something else: a search engine powered by Google that still has the old appearance. Yes, I'm talking about AOL, the famous company that uses Google search technology. If you don't know it yet, the Mountain View firm offers its technology for all AOL users and allows them to search the Internet with the power of Google. The SERP is exactly the same as the old interface used by Google. The similarity was first noticed by blogger Ionut Alex who noticed that the two search engines - which in fact are only one - are almost the same.

As you can see if you visit the AOL Search, the company mentions that the search engine is provided by Google, offering the same interface as the old search giant. However, it is not quite clear if AOL wants to implement the latest changes and improve the appearance of the SERP.

This is not the first time when AOL uses exactly the same interface as one of the Internet giants. Recently, AOL announced its plans to redesign the appearance of the homepage and presented the main candidate for the new layout. As we all noticed at that time, the new interface was 100 percent similar to Yahoo's official page, having the same buttons, menus and placement of the elements. Although most of the Internet users were criticizing AOL for copying Yahoo's layout, the company implemented the design which is now available to all users through the official page of the firm.

Some of the users demanded a special option in the Google account to allow them to select the old or the new interface of the search engine. However, if you don't like the new appearance, you can choose the AOL/Google search engine because it returns the same results as the main technology.
