Google Finance receives several updates

Several improvements in Google Finance are now available for all the users of the search giant's service, updates that are especially meant to improve the functionality of the product. Among other important changes, the Mountain View company included historical prices, allowing you to view and download them at the end of the day for most US or Canadian firms. Now you're also able to stay up-to-date with the latest information from the financial domain by tracking your feeds with Google Reader, Bloglines or straight from your iGoogle accounts using several news gadgets. As I reported last week, the search giant also included a tiny update concerning Google news, displaying under the headlines the stock quote information for the best-known companies.

"Earnings season is one of the busiest times in the world of finance. There's barely enough time to join an earnings call if you are combing through all the latest news and quarterly statements. Today, we're adding content on these events content so you never have to miss an earnings call again. You can view earnings calls, analyst meetings, and any other material event on your company and portfolio pages. Further, you can download these events directly to your Google Calendar," Kuldeep Gharat, Software Engineer, presented another improvement.

Google Finance wasn't too promoted by the Mountain View company but, in the recent period, the search giant released several updates meant to bring the product closer to its clients. It all started with the integration of stock quotes information in Google's search engine results, displayed under the plus box introduced some time ago. At this time, you're able to view financial information straight on the SERP by pressing the plus sign displayed near the result's link.
