November’s Sony Hack was the butt of most jokes at last night’s Golden Globes 2015, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler taking several jabs at North Korea for its involvement in the scandal (over “The Interview,” no less!) and many celebrities including more subtle cracks in their acceptance speeches.

However, the most in-your-face-type of joke was the introduction of the newest member of The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, “a contributor to Movies Wow magazine and a North Korean army general: Cho Yung Ja.”

Cho was actually comedienne Margaret Cho in disguise, and she made her appearance a few times during the broadcast. She put in her 2 cents about how “Orange Is the New Black” should actually be included in the Drama, not Comedy, category, and she fangirled about Meryl Streep, asking to have her photo taken with her.

You can see segments of these skits in the video below. Yes, that’s Benedict Cumberbatch photobombing her, because he seems to have perfected his photobomb skills since his famous Oscars 2014 photo with U2.

And yes, this General will be hosting next year's edition.

Even though the skit was in keeping with the North Korea / Sony Hack jokes, reception of Cho’s involvement wasn’t entirely positive. In a matter of minutes after she stepped up on stage, Twitter was flooded with negative comments at her expense, saying she should stop enforcing Asian stereotypes through such uninspired routines.

Do you agree? Check out the video below and let me know in the comments section.
