14 DAY TRIAL // The Golden Globes 2015 will take place this Sunday, January 11, 2015, in Los Angeles and will air live on NBC. Comedy duo (and real-life friends) Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will resume hosting duties for the third and final time, and they’re determined to show everyone the best time ever.
That includes the celebrities invited and the fans at home, watching the gala on TV or online.
The difference between the Golden Globes and its more “prestigious” counterpart the Academy Awards / Oscars is that not only it helps TV and film people mingle, but also that it’s several times more fun. If the Oscars is a grown-up awards show, the Globes is sitting at the kiddie table, roaring with laughing and throwing cake at others.
Tina and Amy have done an amazing job so far as hosts, proving that they’re able to walk the fine line between comedy and offense whenever they roast a fellow celebrity, regardless if he or she is present in the audience.
They will do the same this year too, Tina tells Access Hollywood, as the video below will show. However, while they don’t want anyone to be “afraid” to be at the Globes, they’re not about to compromise on their jokes either, so nothing will be off limits.
Expect Bill Cosby rape jokes too, Tina laughs. “It’s a party and it’s – in the grand scheme of the world, it couldn’t be less important and I think that's what makes it fun,” she adds.
