14 DAY TRIAL // Leave it to Emma Thompson to spice things up a bit at an awards show, the first major gala of the 2014 awards season, the Golden Globes 2014. The actress was on hand to present the award for Best Screenplay and she made sure she enjoyed herself properly during her time on stage.
To put it bluntly, Emma walked on stage barefoot, with a Martini in hand. She said the red soles of her high-heel Louboutins was actually her blood, joking about how uncomfortable these shoes are, especially if you have to be in them for several hours in a row, which Emma was.
In between sips from her glass, she said she knew how hard it was to come up with a great script because she too worked a lot to pen such scripts.
When the time came to read out the winner, because she didn’t have her hands free, she threw her shoes over the shoulder and handed the Martini to the girl carrying the envelope, much to the delight of the audience.
As they say, you gotta love her.
By the way, the winner was Spike Jonze for “Her.”
