He might have been snubbed by the Oscars 2013 but Quentin Tarantino isn’t exactly ending the awards season empty-handed. He picked up Best Original Screenplay at last night’s Golden Globes 2013.

Check out the video above to see his acceptance speech.

He was presented with the award by Amanda Seyfried and Robert Pattinson, on what was his first major public appearance since the promo trail for the final “Twilight” installment ended.

Upon taking to the stage, Tarantino explained that there were so many people he had to thank that he had no other choice but to divide them into groups.

First of all, he thanked his cast and crew on “Django Unchained,” which he also directed, saying that a good script only stands a fighting chance during the awards season if the movie is good as well.

Secondly, he thanked his friends slash support system, without whom he could have never grown as an artist.
