Jessica Chastain’s acceptance speech at the Golden Globes 2013 is perhaps one of my favorites, because she comes across as incredibly humble and honest, qualities rarely found in celebrities today.

Check it out in full above.

Chastain won critical and commercial success with her portrayal of a CIA agent in Kathryn Bigelow’s most recent film, “Zero Dark Thirty.”

At last night’s awards gala, she also won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama, and she was completely taken by surprise to hear her name called out.

In her acceptance speech, Jessica recalled her difficult start in the industry and the people who got her through it to make her the star she is today.

She also thanked her family and, last but not least, director Kathryn Bigelow for doing more for women today in cinema than she will ever be able to realize.
