As expected, Hugh Jackman picked up a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy at last night’s awards gala, for his role in “Les Miserables.”

Above is a video of his acceptance speech.

Though down with a severe bout of the flu, Hugh was his usual gracious and funny self, even including an anecdote in the opening of his acceptance speech, about some guy who stole the wheels off his bike on the day he auditioned for the role that won him the award.

He also included in his thank-you speech the entire cast of the film and the director, as well as studio bosses who backed up the project, which he calls an essentially “passion” project.

However, the best part of the speech is when Hugh thanks his wife who is barely fighting back tears back in the audience.

Check it out.
