As announced late last week, Adele made her first public appearance since giving birth – at last night’s Golden Globes 2013, held in Los Angeles. Not only did she show up at the gala, but she also got to take one award home.

Adele was nominated – and won – Best Original Song for “Skyfall,” which she wrote and performed for the latest James Bond installment, “Skyfall.”

“Honestly I've come here for a night out! I was not expecting this…,” a clearly overwhelmed Adele told the audience, as the video below will confirm.

“Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your world for a night. I've been [expletive]-ing myself laughing. This is for my boyfriend who convinced me to do it and for my lovely son,” she added.

In winning Best Original Song, Adele’s “Skyfall” beat entries from “Act of Valor,” “Stand Up Guys,” “The Hunger Games” and “Les Miserables.”

She also thanked Daniel Craig for being such an awesome James Bond.
