14 DAY TRIAL // Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt never disappoint on the red carpet or, at least, they don't during awards season. They might seem like they're not trying hard enough at movie premieres, but at last night's Golden Globes 2012, they were every inch the superstar.
Criticism about Jolie ranges from her being too thin to no longer being interested in shining on the red carpet (at film premieres) and shunning bold colors.
As of late, unless we're talking a big awards show, Angelina usually goes for dark hues and uninteresting designs which don't really flatter her figure or stunning features.
She definitely proved all her haters wrong last night, going for a cream and white dress with bold red accents, which looked jaw-dropping on her slender figure.
The gown was by Atelier Versace and, though at first look, it might appear a bit too bridal, know that only the bodice was white, the lower half was a pale cream.
The red streak on the upper part of the bodice was made to match a small fiery red clutch and, most notably, Angelina's luscious lips, now also painted in bright red.
The actress further accessorized with white satin pumps and, of course, her man. Brad Pitt wore a 3-piece Ferragamo tuxedo, opting for long hair and a massive gold ring on his right hand.
Though Jolie was nominated for Best Foreign Film for her directorial debut “In the Land of Blood and Honey” and Pitt got a nod for “Moneyball,” she barely cracked a smile on the red carpet, which further accentuated the severity of her dress and hairdo.
Not that this was a bad thing, voices online point out; it did, however, make her seem as if she didn't really want to be there.

While nominated and considered strong contenders in their respective categories, both Angelina and Brad won nothing.
She lost out to “A Separation,” while Brad lost to his good friend and former “Ocean's” co-star George Clooney, who scooped up the award for Best Actor, Drama for his role in “The Descendants.”
