14 DAY TRIAL // After the 2011 Golden Globes, where they managed to successfully avoid each other – not that it was that hard, come to think of it – Sandra Bullock came face to face with Scarlett Johansson at the Creative Artists Agency afterparty.
Luckily, the chance meeting didn’t turn out into a major catfight a la Christina Aguilera and Julianne Hough, Life & Style reports.
On the contrary, actually, as the two used the opportunity to set the record straight on how things stood between them, particularly in reference to one man: Ryan Reynolds.
It must be common knowledge by now that, shortly after Scarlett filed for divorce from him, Ryan was said to be romantically involved with good friend Sandra. A photo taken on New Year’s of the two seemed to confirm that.
While Sandra had already told the world that she’s not Ryan’s “lovah,” she hadn’t yet spoken to Scarlett about it, says the mag.
“Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson came face-to-face for the first time since Sandra’s very public New Year’s Eve date with Scarlett’s soon-to-be-ex Ryan Reynolds,” the publication writes.
Life & Style even got confirmation from Bullock’s rep that, indeed, the two did meet at the CAA afterparty, so this is not only a rumor. A source is also saying that the meeting went remarkably well.
“Scarlett and Sandra had dinner. They’ve always gotten along so Sandra explained exactly how she felt about the whole Ryan situation,” a spy dishes for the aforementioned publication.
“She didn’t want anything to get in the way of their friendship. There is no awkwardness between Sandra and Scarlett,” the unnamed insider explains.
This comes to infirm previous rumors of Sandra and Ryan being an item, how Scarlett was fuming mad at Sandra’s “betrayal,” and how she still believed she could get back with Ryan if it weren’t for Sandra.
As also noted above, Bullock herself denied all the rumors that have been making the rounds these past weeks, saying that, while she and Ryan are very good friends, she’s getting none of his “loving after dark.”
