14 DAY TRIAL // This is the very definition of a match made in paparazzi heaven: on the red carpet at the Golden Globes 2011, Angelina Jolie met Justin Bieber and agreed to pose for a picture with him.
Us Magazine reports that the photo was taken by Jon Chu, who was Bieber’s date at the Globes and who also directed his upcoming 3D biopic “Never Say Never,” which would explain why it’s so blurry.
Even though he initially told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet that he really wasn’t into the Globes and only put in an appearance because his publicist scheduled it for him, it seems that Bieber was a hit with fellow celebrities.
He also had a lot of fun, as expected.
“Angelina Jolie met fellow superstar Justin Bieber on the red carpet at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills,” Us writes.
“Bieber’s pal ‘jonmchu’ posted a TwitPic of the big-time encounter the next day. Serene Jolie, 35, who wore a sequined green Versace gown, towered over Bieber, 16, wearing D&G and oversized 3D purple sunglasses,” writes the mag.
Also on Twitter, Justin shared a few impressions of what it was like to be at such a fancy, exclusive ceremony and, above all, mix with all the A-listers he’d seen until then only in magazines and on TV.
“Backstage at the Golden Globes. Everyone is here. This is nuts!!” he tweeted, apparently completely starstruck. This was Justin’s first-ever Golden Globes ceremony.
Of course he didn’t miss out on the opportunity of letting his fans know whom he met during the awards ceremony – clearly, Justin only hangs with the best crowd.
“Halle Berry was at my table. [Awesome]...[Robert] De Niro is the man...Yesterday was crazy. still kind of hard to believe who was in that room. Grateful!” the teen idol tweeted after the awards show.
