Kickboxing world champion Riyadh al-Azzawi wanted his car to match the color of his medal collection, so he decided to wrap his expensive Ferrari in gold vinyl.

The Ferrari 458 Spider convertible cost the Iraqi fighter £200,000 ($332,680 or €241,950), but the color makeover was a real bargain compared to that, as the sportsman paid only £4,000 ($6,650 or €4,840) to get his car wrapped in bright gold chrome.

According to Daily Mail, Al-Azzawi's supercar was spotted outside a gym in Kensington, west London, where he was probably training, and turned a lot of heads due to its shiny, futuristic look.

The Ferrari 458 Spider is the convertible version of the popular Italian supercar and is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine with a top speed of 199mph.

Unsurprisingly, not everyone was impressed by the glossy makeover of the car. The Car Expert blog, for instance, expressed its opinion about it on Twitter, “Have just seen a gold-wrapped #Ferrari 458 Spider in Knightsbridge. Hideously tastelessly awful.”

Although I'm far from being a car expert, I think this golden Ferrari looks crazy and elegant at the same time.

Riyadh al-Azzawi won his world-champion belt in 2008 after a fight against 3-times world champion Tomasz Borowiec and has defended it ever since. He remained undefeated in all 47 of his career bouts.
