This May, director Gareth Edwards is returning to the big screen with “Godzilla,” a new take on the classic monster movie, that has been in the works for the past couple of years. Though the promo campaign for it is pretty advanced, it still manages to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Many moviegoers complain that movie studios ruin their own releases by including too much from the plot in the trailers. “Godzilla” is just the opposite of that, in the sense that, in videos released so far, we’ve barely gotten a proper glimpse of the monster.

The same applies to these 2 new TV spots that you will find embedded below. Instead of focusing on the monster and showing it off in all its splendor, it shines the spotlight on the human element by showing the destruction that the monster brings about.

One spot is called “I Can’t Believe This Is Happening” and the other “It Can’t Be Stopped.” Both are self-explanatory.

“An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence,” reads a brief synopsis of the film.

Besides having an awesome marketing campaign (which, at the end of the day, means nothing to real fans), “Godzilla” also boasts a very impressive cast including Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche and Sally Hawkins.
