Chinese photographic equipment manufacturer Godox offers a wide range of choices when it comes to third-party flashes compatible with today's most popular DSLR camera brands (Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony etc.).

Recently, the company has announced a new flashgun for its Ving series, model V850, which also happens to be the world's first flash powered by a Li-ion battery instead of conventional AA batteries.

According to LightingRumors, Godox is planning to release new versions of its current Witstro and Ving flash series that will integrate through-the-lens metering (TTL). The company confirmed that a TTL version of the new Ving V850 flash for Canon digital SLRs would arrive in March, while the Nikon version would be released one month later.

On the other hand, Godox didn't offer any other information about a possible release date for its upcoming TTL-enabled Witstro flash series. Do you consider buying a third-party flash for your camera? Let us know your opinions in the comments section below.
