Gmail Mobile receives new functions

Google's mobile plans are evolving day by day and this is proved by the new steps made by the company through a mobile technology. In fact, is there anybody who knows for sure if Google wants to develop a mobile device, a mobile operating system or anything similar, except the Google guys? I guess the answer is no so all we can do is speculate and spread the rumors concerning the super giant's moves. Today, Google improved the mobile version of Gmail with several features inspired by the PC version, adding a little bit more functionality to the handheld owners. According to Ionut Alex Chitu, "now you can configure the links to some of your labels and add other views like Spam or Drafts. Next to the messages you'll see a checkboxes that allow you to perform one of these actions for all the messages: archive, delete, report as spam, add a label, star or mark as read."

There are a lot of mobile efforts in the recent period and I can bet Google prepares something revolutionary. But we don't have any official confirmation at this time except an old statement of the Google officials who denied the rumors saying the company wants to build a GooglePhone.

However, the Mountain View company evolved a lot into the mobile market and, besides a potential Gphone, it seems like it might be interested in building its own mobile operating system. Obviously, it would bundle all the company's mobile technologies such as Gmail and Google Calendar but the firm didn't confirm this yet.

A few days ago, the Internet world started talking about even more revolutionary plans: a mobile network prepared by the search giant which might be interested in installing undersea cables able to support these intentions. So, Google wants to build its own handheld device, its own mobile operating system to be installed on the phones and its own mobile network to allow the devices to work. Well, this sounds amazing but let's wait a while until someone from Google leaves an official note about it.
