Almost a full year into the iPad’s official launch in America, Apple is yet to ship the tablet in some territories. Israel can be scrubbed off the list with yesterday’s launch, which puts the slate-shaped device in Israeli hands for NIS 2250, according to reports.

[admark=1]The iPad is touted by Apple as a magical and revolutionary device which allows users to connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way.

“Users can browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface,” the Mac maker explains.

“iPad Wi-Fi models are just 0.5 inches thick and weigh just 1.5 pounds—thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook—and deliver up to 10 hours of battery life for surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching videos or listening to music, and up to nine hours of surfing the web,” the official description of Apple’s tablet goes.

Now, reports reveal that Israel is finally seeing the iPad arrive on the shelves of iDigital, the authorized Apple reseller in the territory.

The tablet PC starts at NIS 2250, while both the WiFi-only and WiFi+ 3G variations are available, 9to5mac notes.

Apple fans purchasing an iPad from an Apple Retail Store have the benefit of requesting free Personal Setup service, which helps them customize their new iPad by setting up their email, loading their favorite apps from the App Store, and more.

It is widely believed that Apple is readying the introduction of a second-generation tablet in roughly 100 days from now, still some are yet to see the original tablet ship in their country.
