Fox’s “Glee,” the comedy series that is still at its first season, is about to become even more popular than it is now. In all fairness, ratings for it have been great but producers are reportedly looking to make sure they continue that way. And what better way to do so than to get Madonna to allow them to use her music catalog and book American Idol star Adam Lambert for a special appearance, Entertainment Weekly has learned.

“EW has learned that Madonna has given Glee the rights to her catalog and that an all-Madonna-music episode is in the works for early next year. The hit series has been building an audience and filling the iTunes charts with its cover songs, and Madonna’s involvement is a testament to how big the show is getting. Also, an amazing Glee cover of a classic Madonna track has the potential to be even bigger than the show’s blockbuster take on ‘Don’t Stop Believin’.’ Quinn totally has to do ‘Papa Don’t Preach.’ And I can completely see Rachel tackling ‘Material Girl’.” EW writes.

Aside from Madonna giving producers the green light for her catalog, Adam Lambert is also being courted for an appearance, reports say. “But Madonna might not be the only pop star getting some Glee love. Co-creator Ryan Murphy tells EW that he’s considering approaching American Idol runner up Adam Lambert about appearing on the show (next year, Glee will be paired with Idol on Wednesday nights). Nothing is official yet but Lambert does seem like an ideal choice for Glee.” the same movie-oriented publication says.

As we also reported on previous occasions, Lambert is about to be a very busy man in the month to come and then beyond that so, if they really want it, “Glee” producers had better act fast on their intent and approach him with an offer. The Idol runner-up will perform at the American Music Awards, in the ceremony that will air on ABC on November 22. Also present will be Lady Gaga, with whom Lambert is now working on a new track, as he announced just days ago.

“Yes it’s true: I spent yesterday in the studio w[ith] the insanely talented and creative Lady GaGa recording a song that she wrote! I love her. Gaga wrote the song a while ago and she thought it would be a good fit for me. It’s a solo track. I feel so honored and lucky to be asked. Gaga just gets it, ya know?” Adam was saying on his Twitter page the other day.
