Glamour model Jordan, now known by her real name of Katie Price, is often held as a role model for how to build a business empire from virtually nothing else than good looks, but rarely is she considered an example worthy of being followed when it comes to plastic surgery. 26-year-old Shell Short, though, would disagree: having already spent £32,000 on surgery and with a string of boyfriends who no longer want to speak to her, she says she can’t stop having work done to look just like Jordan.

Interviewed by Closer Magazine, Short tells the story of a 12-year-old who wanted to be just like Jessica Simpson so, at 20, she went up a few cup sizes. Then, her fixation on Britain’s most popular and mediated woman, Jordan, began. So far, Shell, who works as an admin assistant and makes a little over £1,800 a month, has invested in plastic surgery and beauty treatments £32,000, money that she does not have.

She is not afraid of running into even more debt, she says, as she’s positive she will be able to pay everything she gets on loan today once she gets that modeling gig she’s been looking for. “When Jordan went to the US for surgery, I kept a list of her ops and had them done in the UK over the summer. I thought if I could look like her I could be just as successful. I wasn't worried about getting into debt, because I knew I’d be able to pay the money back when I started modeling.” the aspiring star tells Closer.

Shell has had, so far, nine surgical interventions, mostly to her chest, tummy and thighs. She also got Restylane injections in the lips, fillers in her cheeks and veneers. Beauty treatments are also a must, and, this past year alone, she spent several hundreds of pounds on getting her hair dyed, extensions and facial treatments. Add to that clothes that look just like Jordan’s and a series of professional photographs that she passes around in the hope she’ll get a job as a lookalike, and the £32,000 amount is justified.

With all these expenses and Shell’s constant dissatisfaction for not looking like her idol, it’s no wonder that all her former boyfriends think she needs psychiatric help. She doesn’t care about that, though, since her goal is clearly defined and she would stop at nothing to attain it. “I break down in tears worrying about my debts, but when I look in the mirror and can almost see Jordan staring back, I know it’s worth it.” Shell tells Closer.
