Chinese company Gionee has just released two new update for Elife S7 and Pioneer P3. Both are delivered OTA (over the air) in waves, so it might take a while until they reach all devices.

While the Elife S7 is a very new smartphone that has been released on the market last month., the Pioneer P3 is an older device that hit shelves about two years ago.

Since Gionee Elife S7 was launched this year and it's a high-end smartphone, it make sense for the Chinese company to include Amigo OS 3.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop inside.

On the other hand, the Pioneer P3 is a very old entry levels smartphone, which is still powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

However, this doesn't mean that it shouldn't receive software updates that might fix some issues or brings some new features and improvements.

Other Gionee smartphones received similar updates earlier this month

Anyway, let's see what changes the latest update for Gionee Pioneer P3 brings into the mix. First of all, the new update should improve junk character in incoming call UI issue. It will also add 3 fonts and will allow users to download new fonts much easier.

Pioneer P3 users will be able to create their own playlists through the upgraded music player. The update also adds a lock screen widget and brings users the option to manage notification from the app with the new added feature called Information Management system.

Last but not least, the update will add the option to hide all apps ensuring that no one knows what apps you have installed on the phone.

Several apps available on the Pioneer P3 will be updated: Amigo Paper, GameZone, UCBrowser, WPS Office, Gionee Xender, Saavn, WeChat, NQ security, and Touchpal X.

On the other hand, the Elife S7's changelog is much shorter. Users will get two new regional languages (Punjabi and Gujarati), optimized battery consumption and lots of bug fixes.
