Record-high revenues are great news, but so are record-high shipments. Though the two go hand in hand usually. In any case, Gigabyte can proudly say it had the best year ever as far as shipments go.

Well, “ever” might be a strong term, but when you expect to post a 28-year highest annual level, you're allowed some lexical leeway.

That's what Gigabyte is looking forward to: finding that it shipped more mainboards this year than in the past 28.

The growth, to 21 million, isn't even that small. Compared to 2012 (19 million), it's a 10.5% increase.

It's not a guarantee that the figure will be reached, of course. December hasn't even started after all.

Still, after shipping 17.5 million from January to October alone, it's quite likely that the goal will be attained.
