It has double the memory capacity and higher clock speeds than usual

NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 760 graphics card came out a while ago, and so did a bunch of OEM models, which means that partners have to do more than change the sticker now, if they want their boards to gain attention.

Gigabyte obviously knows this, seeing as how the Internet did not fail to note the arrival of the GeForce GTX 760 WindForce OC adapter.

The newcomer not only has higher clock frequencies than normal, but it comes with twice the usual memory capacity and, of course, the custom cooler that Gigabyte is famous for.

To provide perspective before we get into the specs, the reference card is a single-fan video board with a base GPU clock speed of 980 MHz, a GPU Boost frequency of 1,152 MHz, and 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM working at 6 GHz.

The one that Gigabyte just exposed has 4 GB of VRAM at the same frequency, but clocks of 1,085 MHz and 1,150 MHz, respectively, for the GPU.

That's quite a difference, especially since the original board was already powerful enough even without the factory overclocking.

On the flip side, the extra performance will demand a higher price than usual. Thus, rather than $270 / €270, it will ship for $300 / €300.

An 8-phase VRM (voltage regulation module) delivers energy to the chip, energy received through a 6-pin and an 8-pin PCI Express power input, not counting the PCI Express slot itself of course.

As for the cooler, it has a pair of aluminum fin stacks, both of which are strapped along the end of six heatpipes made of copper and measuring 8 mm in thickness (two) or 6 mm (the other four). Three fans with a diameter of 80mm disperse the heat.

The marketing part number of the Gigabyte 4GB GeForce GTX 760 WindForce OC is GV-N760OC-4GD. Retailers should have listed it by now, or will do so soon.
