After we saw the company unveiling two new Windows Mobile PDA phones, the GSmart MS820 and S1200, back at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, now we learn that it will release one of them along with two other devices on the Indian market.
The three touchscreen Windows Mobile-based handsets that are to come from Gigabyte to India are the GSmart MS820, MW702 and MW700. According to the company, its phones have received great appreciation from a wide number of industry analysts, critics and users, and these three models are just the first to be released on the market.
The GSmart MS820 has been designed to prove a great addition to any business users out there. The handset comes with 3.5G capabilities, while also including a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and face recognition, as well as a VGA screen and a built-in accelerometer, not to mention Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port.
At the same time, the PDA also includes a variety of multimedia capabilities, including a photo editor, music player and FM radio. GPS tracking features have been included in the package as well, along with geotagging capabilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, e-mail MMS and SMS, all inside a handset that weighs only 140 grams.
The MW702 and MW700, the other GSmart models to come to users in India, are entry-level devices that have Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional as their operating system, while also sporting features like Smart Touch User Interface, FM Radio, Sim Manager, Recorder, WAP and USB connectivity, along with GPS tracking and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
According to Techtree India, those willing to acquire one of the GSmart handsets coming from Gigabyte will find them on the market featuring price tags of Rs. 36,999 ($741) for MS820, Rs.29,999 ($600) for MW702 and Rs.16,999 ($340) for MW700.
