Remember Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman and his giant duck sculptures, which he sends afloat all over the world?

One of them was spotted floating in Hong Kong on Wednesday, sources say. According to the Guardian, the sighting was reported in Victoria harbor in Hong Kong yesterday.

Inflating the duck took only 30 minutes, even though it is 16.5 meters (54 feet) high and measures 19.2 meters (63 feet) in length.

As I mentioned before, Hofman has previously set up his installation in New Zealand, The Netherlands, Brazil, Germany and Belgium.

“We're one family and all the waters in the world is our global bathtub,” he describes the symbolism behind his piece.

The giant rubber duck is the artist's manifesto against discrimination and conflicts in the political arena.
