Known to fans of ABC’s “The Bachelor” as one of the cutest and most lovable girls on season 14, Gia Allemand, a 29-year-old swimsuit model, has died. Reports online suggest she died following a suicide attempt, with one in particular noting she hanged herself.

As we also reported earlier today, Gia’s family has issued a statement to say that the model had been in hospital in critical condition since Monday but that the decision had been made to take her off life support.

The statement doesn’t name a cause of death.

However, TMZ writes that she hanged herself after what could have been a dispute with her live-in boyfriend Ryan Anderson.

“Ryan found her hanging and unconscious in her home and immediately called 911,” the e-zine says.

“We were told by multiple people close to Gia that she had been extremely upset about a rocky relationship with her boyfriend Ryan Anderson,” adds the same media outlet.

If Ryan and Gia had been having problems, he doesn’t even hint at them in a statement he released to TMZ, following the death announcement.

“I'm deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans. Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile,” Anderson says.

“She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared,” he adds.

Gia’s Twitter feed is proof that, as far as appearances go, her relationship with Ryan was problem-free: she often posted photos of them on vacation, looking happy and loved up.

In fact, the most recent pic was uploaded on social media just a few days before the suicide attempt that would eventually cost her her life.
