Another hoax story has been seen hitting inboxes and social media accounts

An old chain letter is again seen spamming inboxes of gullible people who may rush to forward it, fearing a potential revenge from the ghost of a girl called Carmen Winstead.

The message claims that Carmen died after some bullies at her school pushed her into a sewer, reports Hoax Slayer. The ghost of the girl is supposedly haunting around and vengefully attacking anyone who doesn’t forward her story.

The same source looked into the whole thing and it turns out that there is no record of a girl named Carmen Winstead who was killed by schoolmates.

While many may agree that a good ghost story never hurt anyone, useless spamming is nothing to joke around with.

Internet users must learn to avoid phony messages, since you never know when such an innocent looking email may become the subject of a malicious malware spreading campaign.
